Unifying in Service of Our Mission

At Massachusetts General Hospital, we believe in our vision for Mass General Brigham (MGB) as an integrated academic medical system of the future, with patients at the center — one that brings its resources together to provide the best care for our patients, from the most familiar and routine illnesses and injuries to the most complex medical problems. Mass General is the leader in sharing, across our system, our founders’ vision: “When in distress, every person becomes our neighbor.”

In the spring of 2024, we announced a vision for MGB’s two academic medical centers, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital, that includes creating single, unified departments that build on the impressive foundations of clinical programs at each hospital and operate seamlessly for the benefit of our patients, our people and the communities we serve. Recently, MGB announced several appointments to expanded leadership positions and the launch of Mass General Brigham Cancer.
