Oluwaseun “Seun” Johnson-Akeju, MD, has accepted the role of chair of anesthesiology at Mass General Brigham (MGB), effective December 1, 2024. Currently serving as anesthetist-in-chief at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Johnson-Akeju has been a valued member of the MGB community for 18 years whose experience as a clinician, scientist, educator and member of the Enterprise Anesthesiology executive leadership team has strengthened the department’s clinical excellence, national prominence and team culture.
