As one of two critical neurosurgery appointments in Mass General Brigham’s larger effort to integrate care and services across academic medical centers, Bob S. Carter, MD, was recently named chair of neurosurgery at Mass General Brigham.

Bob S. Carter, MD, is a passionate and strategic leader who has served as chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital since 2017. He will now continue his dedicated work to integrate the Mass General and Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s departments of neurosurgery, building on the incredible legacies at both organizations and charting the future for neurosurgery across Mass General Brigham.
