Dear Colleagues,
We are excited to lead the 2023 My Giving Helps: The MGH Fund + United Way employee campaign and to celebrate the lasting impact your giving and volunteerism has on fulfilling the greater Mass General mission to deliver excellence in patient care, advance care through innovative research and education, and improve the health and well-being of the diverse communities we serve.
My Giving Helps was established to celebrate the Mass General culture of philanthropy and provide employees with an opportunity to support the hospital’s mission above and beyond their day-to-day efforts in the workplace through tax-deductible donations to the MGH Fund and/or United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley, and with unique volunteer opportunities at the hospital and across our local communities.
If you aren’t yet familiar with My Giving Helps this newsletter will act as a resource for you to learn more about how you can become involved and highlight the ways that your ongoing support makes a lasting impact.

- Donate blood or platelets by Saturday, May 13 to receive two (2) FREE entries.
- Purchase individual raffle tickets for $10 each. All ticket proceeds support the MGH Fund and Massachusetts General Hospital.

Why I Give | Liang Yap, PhD
Liang Yap, PhD’s Singaporean family has a history of philanthropy that dates back generations, so her own generosity comes as no surprise to those who know her. After 19 years of service at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Yap is now giving back in a different way through her will.
Impacting our Local Communities
Mass General has a longstanding and valued relationship with United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley. Employees are known to get involved in all kinds of ways – big, small, but always important – to create change that lasts for children and families in our communities.
