Ways to Give

The MGH Fund
Donations to the MGH Fund enable Mass General to make timely investments to support research breakthroughs, promising clinical initiatives, programs benefiting our employees, community and global health efforts, disaster responses and more.

United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley
Generous contributions from Mass General employees have funded United Way programs aimed at preventing housing loss, job training to prepare displaced workers for new positions, expanding access to early education, expanding access to afterschool programs and addressing the systemic racial and ethnic disparities revealed and heightened through the COVID-19 crisis.

Giving Options
The easiest and most efficient way to support My Giving Helps is through recurring payroll deductions. You specify how much to pledge each week or month, and we’ll take it from there. Pledging even a few dollars from each payroll cycle can make an immense impact over the course of the year! Set up your recurring payroll deductions now. You may also make a one-time gift.

Planned Giving
Whether naming the hospital as a beneficiary of a will, establishing a charitable gift annuity or creating an endowed fund, these donors are fueling medical advances that will benefit their children, grandchildren and beyond.

The Mass General Legacy Challenge
The Mass General Legacy Challenge is a special initiative of The Campaign for Mass General designed to raise the visibility of future gifts as a way to support the hospital now and over the long term. Every time Mass General is notified that a donor has named the hospital as a beneficiary in their will, trust or other account, a gift* to the MGH Fund will immediately be made!

Learn how the Mass General Legacy Challenge can provide immediate support to the MGH Fund.

Volunteer Opportunities with the United Way

Translation Roster | Volunteers on the Translation Roster may be contacted to help with tasks such as translating at an event (virtual or in-person) or translating a document.

All About STEM | United Way has three unique ways to share your STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) knowledge with middle and high school students:

  • Critical STEM Conversations: Do you bring a unique perspective to the STEM career pathway experience? To highlight Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the STEM career pathway experience, these 15–20-minute conversations provide students to hear from a professional that may encounter similar challenges in their pursuit of STEM education. Topics can cover race, ethnicity, cultural background, gender, sexuality, mental health, disabilities, religion, or anything else you feel is “critical” to your story that impacts/impacted your STEM career pathway.
