The one hundred honoree: The Patty Fund Golf Tournament

by
Mass General Giving

The Patty Fund Golf Tournament commemorates the life and compassionate spirit of a beloved woman, Patricia Ann Bevis. In 1998, at age 49, Patty lost her life to brain cancer. Patty’s husband Neil and sons Brad, Tate and Topher organize a golf tournament each year that supports brain cancer research at Mass General and the hospital’s Stephen E. and Catherine Pappas Center for Neuro-Oncology.

The family’s many friends and neighbors have responded in force to the annual tournament, turning the summer event into an immediate success. Now, Neil, his sons and the committee (pictured above) are ready to plan and organize other fund-raising events throughout the year on behalf of brain cancer research.
