Stop & Shop’s fundraising creativity and generosity have mobilized millions of people throughout New England to join the fight against cancer by simply buying a scratch ticket.
Co-sponsored by the Boston Red Sox, the supermarket chain’s Triple Winner® Game, started in 1991, has raised more than $50 million for the Stop & Shop Family Pediatric Brain Tumor Clinic at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
The game is as simple as it is powerful. Stop & Shop customers donate one dollar to the Jimmy Fund and at the same time, become eligible to win prizes that range from coupons and tickets to a $10,000 cash award.
Stop & Shop also raises funds to support the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center’s Department of Pediatrics.
Stop & Shop recently received the Sidney Farber Medical Research Award, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s highest honor to its supporters, for its steadfast support in the fight against cancer (pictured, Stop and Shop New England Division President Mark McGowan).
