Remy Stressenger joined the Friends of the Mass General Cancer Center in 2001, following her mother’s battle with breast cancer. Remy quickly became one of the most active leaders and ambassadors for the Friends, a role that she has maintained for more than a decade, including serving as president of the Friends board since 2011.
Under her focused guidance, the Friends became a standing committee of the Mass General Cancer Center, and the organization has rebranded and grown to be an incredible force for philanthropy and volunteerism at Mass General. Remy also served on the founding committee for the one hundred. Outside of the Cancer Center, she’s an active supporter of MassGeneral Hospital for Children, and has chaired the Storybook Ball.
Remy is an enthusiastic leader, ambassador, philanthropist and volunteer for the Mass General Cancer Center. With her genuine manner, and warm smile for fellow volunteers and event attendees alike, she is a vital part of the Cancer Center’s culture — and her drive and passion to help cancer patients keeps her coming back year after year.
