Peter Mueller, MD, is an internationally recognized innovator in interventional radiology, going above and beyond to solve the most complex cases at Mass General.
Dr. Mueller and his colleagues introduced many procedures and techniques at Mass General that have now become standards of care across the world. In addition, he is a prolific researcher, and has been on the editorial boards of a number of prestigious radiology journals including Radiology, The American Journal of Roentgenology, Clinical Radiology, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. He is the past editor-in-chief of Seminars in Interventional Radiology. He is the past president of the Society of Hepato-Biliary Radiology, the New England Roentgen Ray Society and the Society of Abdominal Radiology.
Dr. Mueller’s awards and recognitions include an honorary membership in the European Society of Interventional Radiology, the British Society of Radiology, the Irish Society of Radiology, the Asian Society of Abdominal Radiology and the European Radiology Society. He has received the Gold Medal from the British Interventional Radiology Society, the European Cardiovascular and Interventional Society, and the Society of Abdominal Radiology. In addition, he has given a number of “named lectures” including the prestigious Dotter Lecture for the American Society of Interventional Radiology.
