by
Mass General Giving

James McIntyre, MD, chief of radiation oncology at the Mass General/North Shore Cancer Center in Danvers, Mass., inspires confidence in his patients with his warm and positive manner as well as expertise honed by more than two decades of clinical experience and published research.

As Dr. McIntyre guides and supports his patients through diagnosis and treatment, he helps them understand and cope with the challenges of their disease. In the process, he assists them in developing inner resources that contribute to their healing and sustain them long after they are in his care.

“Dr. McIntyre is considered a rock star by his patients, including me,” writes Jack Hoar. “My wife and I feel as though we owe my life to him.

“His medical knowledge is excellent, his treatments are spot-on and his exceptional bedside manner just completes the entire package,” Jack continues. “Were he playing for the Red Sox, Dr. McIntyre would be considered a five-tool player.”
