Storybook Ball

Thank you for supporting Mass General for Children

The 25th anniversary of Storybook Ball held on Nov. 2, 2024 was an unforgettable evening – nearly 600 guests gathered at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport to raise funds for Mass General for Children’s patients and their families. We are thrilled to share that the evening raised $2.1 million to support a wide range of pediatric programs and to transform care for children both locally and globally. The evening’s program highlighted how MGfC brings a multidisciplinary approach to treating chronic or life-limiting medical diagnoses while enhancing a child’s quality of life.

The success of this year’s event would not have been possible without you. Your generosity and commitment ensure we can continue to make a difference in the lives of our young patients. We hope you will join us again next year for the 2025 Storybook Ball on Saturday, Nov. 1.

If you would still like to support Storybook Ball, please contact Courtney Connolly at ceconnolly@mgh.harvard.edu.

A Bear-y Special Night

Logan’s Story

At 8 weeks old, Logan was diagnosed with a rare genetic mutation and infantile spasms. Mass General for Children and their specialty programs for children with complex care needs provided hope and support to Logan and his family. Through cutting-edge treatments and wraparound care, experts at MGfC have helped Logan improve his quality of life and reach his full potential.

Storybook Ball Over The Years

The generosity of Storybook Ball supporters has helped raise more than $38 million to establish new programs and facilities such as the Coordinated Care Clinic and the state-of-the-art Francis H. Burr Proton Beam Therapy Center, enhancing our ability to serve children with complex physical and emotional needs. However, like most health care organizations across the country and within Boston, Mass General is not immune to external challenges. In the face of ongoing economic adversity, Mass General for Children is renewing our commitment to the wide range of existing pediatric programs for which this hospital is renowned.

2023: Frog & Toad

In 2023, the Storybook Ball took place at the Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport. The evening showcased the incredible work being done in the field of Adolescent Health. The Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine team is committed to supporting the healthy development of adolescents and young adults while promoting healthy habits and preventing disease.

2022: Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

In 2022, the Storybook Ball returned for its first in-person event in two years. The evening showcased the incredible work being done in Newborn Medicine. The team’s state-of-the-art medical and surgical care, in collaboration with obstetrics, helps mothers and babies before, during and after childbirth to heal, grow and thrive.

2021: The Story of Ferdinand

In 2021, the 22nd Storybook Ball was once again celebrated virtually. The event focused on the complex specialty of Pediatric Infectious Disease. Funds raised helped to ensure that patients and their families can continue to receive the multi-faceted and interdisciplinary care only possible at institutions like MGfC.
