Tiffany Koolakian, RTT, is a radiation therapist team leader at Mass General. She ensures that treatments are delivered with both the utmost precision and compassion. She recently added a process improvement initiative to her responsibilities. For several years, she served as the clinical coordinator for University of Vermont students of radiation therapy.
“Tiffany has a knack for turning an intimidating experience for patients into a comfortable one with her enthusiasm, upbeat demeanor and sense of humor,” writes her colleague, senior radiation therapist Jason Norby, RTT. “Her patients and their families often share a good laugh with her in the waiting and treatment room.”
Tiffany is exceptionally committed to her patients and goes out of her way to bring them joy. She often hosts celebrations for patients on their last day of treatment or on their birthdays. Recently, she managed to obtain a Patriots jersey autographed by Tom Brady for one of her patients and helped to plan a special trip to a Boston College football game for the patient and his family.
Tiffany’s positive spirit is contagious, and her focus on the well-being of her patients is unwavering.
