The Brian D. Silber Memorial Fund raises money in memory of an outstanding young man whose intelligence and warmth touched all who knew him. Brian Silber died from a malignant spinal cord tumor in 1996, when he was just 28 years old. Before Brian died, he requested that a fund be established to support research on spinal cord tumors and to improve patient outcomes. In 1999, the Brian D. Silber Spine Tumor Clinic opened. The Silber Memorial Fund serves as a source of inspiration and support for this unique patient care and research clinic.
