“Noreen has a transformational influence at the front desk and waiting room of our clinic,” says Howard J. Weinstein, MD, chief of the Division of Pediatric Hematology Oncology. “She greets every patient and family member with warmth, gets to know the patients and becomes their advocate. She learns their school and vacation schedules and arranges tests, scans and appointments at their convenience. She is a calming influence whether by phone or in face-to-face encounters.”
While helping families at the front desk, Noreen also triages phone calls to clinicians and at times makes runs to labs, expediting the care of patients.
