I wanted my mom to have the best care, and I knew she would get it at the Cancer Center. Her fear was that the doctors and nurses would treat her like an “old person” who had already lived her life. But my mom wasn’t ready to give up, and she was so surprised that Dr. Choi and his team felt the same way. They really made her (and me) feel that she had lots more life in her. They gave us hope, they made her smile, and they gave her strength to fight this disease. She was so afraid at every appointment, but they eased her mind with good reports and tremendous kindness.
