The one hundred honoree: New Balance Athletic Shoe Company

by
Mass General Giving

The New Balance Shoe Company has been a partner with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for two decades. One of its initiatives on behalf of Komen’s investments in breast cancer research and patient care has been its “Lace up for the Cure” product line. “Lace up for the Cure” products comprise Komen Foundation-branded running apparel and footwear.

Annually, the company contributes 15 percent of the revenue from these products to the foundation. Each year’s donation ranges from $500,000 to $1,000,000.

While raising funds for the foundation, the New Balance initiative also raises awareness for breast cancer and its commitment to the cause. New Balance features the merchandise at its retail locations nationwide as well as on its online store.
