The one hundred honoree: Linda and Scott Webb

by
Mass General Giving

In 2003, Linda and Scott Webb lost their three-year-old daughter Allison to Wilm’s tumor, a rare kidney cancer that afflicts children. They came to know firsthand all of the challenges facing children and their families undergoing cancer treatment, from financial stresses to the anguish and uncertainty of caring for a loved one with life-threatening illness.

Allison’s favorite place was home. After a long hospital stay, she would happily say, “We’re at Ally’s house!” After Allison died, Linda (pictured with pediatric patient, Madison) and Scott founded Ally’s House, a nonprofit organization that provides Oklahoma families with financial and emotional support, as well as lodging, while they care for a child with cancer.

Ally’s House also hosts fun events in the pediatric unit of Children’s Hospital at Oklahoma University Medical Center, where Allison received her care. Linda and Scott both work full time while volunteering for Ally’s House. They are glad to honor their beloved daughter by enhancing the quality of life of other children and families who are coping with cancer and easing their burden at a difficult time.
