The one hundred honoree: Jordan Rich

by
Mass General Giving

Jordan Rich’s voice is well-known to thousands in the Boston area — as a long-time radio host, his shows have been on the air for more than 35 years, and he is currently the host of The Jordan Rich Show on WBZ NewsRadio 1030. But he doesn’t just lend his voice to talk radio or commercials — he uses it to raise awareness and funds for the cancer community.

Jordan is a proud ambassador for Voices of Hope, a non-profit organization that puts on vocal performances in support of the Mass General Cancer Center. Jordan has emceed and hosted numerous shows for the group of singers, who are past the one hundred honorees. A loyal supporter of the organization and its mission, he always shares news of the group’s work on the airwaves.

His passion for the fight against cancer is also evident in his support of many other initiatives including the Conquer Cancer Coalition of Massachusetts’ Annual Day of Hope and Healing in Boston.

Having lost his wife to cancer in 2013, Jordan honors her memory through his active participation in the organizations he supports and by sharing his personal cancer experience with the warmth and humor that his fans know and love. Jordan’s voice is famous — and he wholeheartedly gives that same voice to cancer patients and the quest for a cure.
