Jack Hayes has an enormously positive impact on the Mass General Cancer Center’s pediatric patients as well as their families and caregivers. Jack is the caring and loving father of a teenager who was successfully treated for acute leukemia.
A frequent volunteer at the Cancer Center pediatric clinic, for years Jack has arrived in costume at various holiday parties and events, exhilarating children, parents and staff with each visit. He has been a Santa or Frosty at Christmas parties, an Easter bunny at an egg hunt and a scarecrow at an autumn art celebration.
Jack puts his heart and soul into these activities and makes hundreds of children jump for joy. Between holiday events, Jack drops by the clinic to chat or bring lunch to the staff. Jack gives freely of his talent for making kids and adults laugh and feel good.
