Jim has a wonderful way about him and a great rapport with children and their parents. He provides a human touch in a high-tech environment. For example, I have seen Jim pitch soft baseballs to a pediatric patient as a reward for being still and good during his proton session. It was obvious that this was a tradition with them, something the little boy looked forward to that eased his fears and helped him cope with daily treatments.
