Mass General Giving

Jennifer Wo, MD, radiation oncologist at Mass General, specializes in gastrointestinal cancers and generously shares her knowledge of the diseases with junior colleagues, preparing the field’s next generation.

An accomplished researcher and an outstanding clinician, Dr. Wo undertakes prospective clinical trials with advanced radiation and integration with targeted therapies. Her research also involves the identification of novel biomarkers that predict outcomes to radiation or chemo-radiation and the evaluation of prognostic and predictive factors for outcomes in gastrointestinal malignancies.

“Jennifer provides wonderful care and is loved by her patients,” says Theodore Hong, MD, director, Gastrointestinal Service, Department of Radiation Oncology. “Additionally, she truly shines in the role of colleague and mentor. Jen has an infectious personality, easily identifiable by her ready laugh and open smile.

“Jennifer provides a sense of joy to her patients and colleagues that is truly unique,” continues Dr. Hong. “Everyone feels comfortable confiding in her, making her invaluable as a mentor and colleague for trainees and junior faculty. Jen is a huge part of what makes Mass General such a great place to work.”
