Gilbert Daniels, MD, a leading endocrinologist, has delivered compassion and expertise to thousands of patients with thyroid cancer.

Dr. Daniels is co-director of the Mass General Thyroid Clinic, medical director of the Mass General Endocrine Tumor Center and co-director of the Mass General Endocrine Tumor Genetics Clinic. A prolific researcher and respected teacher, he is the recipient of the Distinguished Clinician Award of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Harvard Medical School Prize for Excellence in Teaching and the Distinguished Educator Award of the Endocrine Society. Dr. Daniels is also an active member of the leading associations in his field and has served in leadership roles for several of them.

He’s a member of the Endocrine Society, American Thyroid Association and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He served on the board of directors of the American Thyroid Association. He was on the first board of directors of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. Dr. Daniels was also named the first James Howard Means Chair, honoring the first chief of the Mass General Thyroid Clinic.
