Mel Simmons was our mentor. With her grace and spirit, she taught us how to die — but more importantly, she also showed us, every day, how to live. Pauline Alighieri (pictured) and other friends of Mel have built a powerful legacy to Mel, raising millions of dollars by selling colorful bracelets and donating the proceeds to the fight against breast cancer.
