Eyal Attar, MD, is the doctor every patient hopes to have when stricken with a life-threatening disease. Dr. Attar’s patients always feel connected to him and never feel rushed. They enjoy his humor. Time after time they speak of how he really listens to them. And as both a clinician and researcher, Dr. Attar is at the forefront of his field.

“I had AML leukemia, and I was given just months to live,” writes Erin Cortright. “I decided to seek another opinion. Dr. Attar told me that my best hope would be a stem cell transplant. He treated me when other doctors had given up. I’m now two years and five months in remission. Dr. Attar, along with Dr. Chen and my nurses on Cox 1 and Ellison 14, returned me to my family, friends and life.”

Another patient, Joanellen Sullivan, writes, “Whenever I express my gratitude to Dr. Attar for his care, he is quick to say that he is only one member of a team and that he stands on the shoulders of giants. At the scariest point of my life, he made me unafraid to face what was ahead. He truly loves his patients.”
