by
Mass General Giving

Dennis Ausiello, MD, is chief of the Mass General Department of Medicine, the academic home of many clinical and research faculty dedicated to the care of cancer patients and to finding new ways to fight the disease. From cutting-edge research to world-class clinical care, the Department of Medicine is leading the way in improving the outcome of patients with cancer at Mass General and worldwide.

Researchers in Medicine team with Cancer Center scientists in developing new targeted therapies that focus on genetic abnormalities within cancer cells. These therapies are paving the way for a radically new world of cancer treatment tailored to individual cancers. Each patient at Mass General is cared for by a multidisciplinary team that is highly skilled in treating cancers as well as any other underlying illness or disease-associated complication.

Dr. Ausiello is a long-standing supporter of the Mass General Cancer Center, and, as chief of Medicine, inspires the accomplished physicians and researchers of his department as they provide the best possible care to patients with cancer, while seeking improved treatments and cures for this devastating disease.
