For the past nine years, Davi-Ellen Chabner has joined the Mass General Hospital team that runs in the Boston Marathon. She is an enthusiastic and committed member of the team and consistently one of its top three fund-raisers.
Davi-Ellen has garnered more than $150,000 in donations by completing the Marathon each year. She dedicates these funds to the Childhood Cancer Program at Massachusetts General Hospital.
As part of her marathon participation, Davi-Ellen is matched with a child in the Patient Partner Program. Davi-Ellen goes out of her way to make her young partner feel special and also devotes time to visiting with the patient’s family. The children who have been Davi-Ellen’s partners speak of her warmth and kindness.
