The one hundred honoree: Carol Sullivan

Mass General Giving

Carol Sullivan, MS, RD, CSO, LDN, senior clinical nutritionist at the Mass General Cancer Center, is known for working tirelessly to ensure all of her patients receive the highest level of nutritional guidance and care.

“Carol works in a way where she can adjust to each patient to motivate them to reach their goal — whether it is to create an optimal anti-cancer diet or to simply promote more energy or comfort,” says oncology nutrition specialist Julia Hincman-Francavilla, MS, RD, CSO, LDN.

Carol provides tremendous care to patients and families every day — but she also cares deeply for her team, supporting colleagues during difficult personal and professional experiences. Julia shared Carol’s remarkable impact on her personally: “From a co-worker standpoint, Carol has been an absolute blessing to me. I cannot say enough how she has helped me through my own cancer diagnosis. Carol knew when to give me space; she always took the time to give me a hug. Even in the midst of crazy busy days, she always remembered my treatment schedule, she knew which days I experienced side effects and how I could be best supported. I am more than fortunate to have had Carol on my side — I am certain that all of her patients feel the same.”
