Six years ago in February of 2013, I was surprised to learn that I had prostate cancer. It’s the quiet killer of men secondary to heart disease. There are very few signs of this disease typically uncovered with a rise in PSA bloodwork. With the support of Mass General urology development and my treatment with Dr. Matthew Smith, urology oncologist, I remain strong and healthy. Sadly there’s so little to be said about prostate cancer, unlike other cancer diagnoses. I decided to personally take a stand and make some noise.
I am going to run a golf tournament at my course, Bass Rocks in Gloucester MA, the pebble beach of the east. My goal is to raise $50,000 for the first year’s event. Therefore, I ask for a charitable donation for a foursome and tee or green donation.
