The Pete Frates 5K honors the late Pete Frates, who was internationally recognized as an advocate for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) awareness and education. Prior succumbing to ALS, Pete successfully helped raise $225 million globally to #strikeoutals through the ice bucket challenge. All proceeds from this year’s race will be given to the Mass General ALS House Call Program at the Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS, which helps to change the course of medical care planning and improve outcomes for people with ALS by bringing patient care into the home. We invite you to run, walk, or wheel the race.
