Thank you for your donation honoring Roman W. DeSanctis, MD. Dr. Roman DeSanctis was a legendary physician, mentor, teacher, leader, fundraiser and philanthropist.

Training and mentoring the next generation of leaders was a hallmark of Dr. DeSanctis’s career and something that he tirelessly dedicated himself to during his 70-year career at Mass General. Donations in his memory will support the Roman and Ruth DeSanctis Family Endowed Cardiology Fellowship Research Fund and provide Cardiology fellows with the resources to pursue important research initiatives during a pivotal time in their career. Thank you for ensuring the continuation of Dr. DeSanctis’s legacy through your gift.

A generous donor has offered to match, dollar-for-dollar, all gifts in memory of Dr. DeSanctis to this fund up to $650,000. This will ensure his legacy lives on at Mass General — and beyond — for many years to come.
