Dr. Jenike dedicated his life to the study and treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and his internationally recognized work transformed the field. Dr. Jenike was founder of the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at Mass General and the Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Institute (OCDI) at McLean Hospital, the International OCD Foundation and a Professor at Harvard Medical School. His contributions were instrumental in the advancement of OCD knowledge, treatment, and support networks.
Psychiatry Grand Rounds is a weekly rounds attended by psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other allied professionals who seek to learn empirically-supported treatments and evidenced-based pathophysiology of psychiatric illnesses. Grand Rounds is an excellent opportunity for mental health providers to learn about pertinent topics related to their fields of interest.
The annual Michael Jenike, MD Grand Rounds lecture will facilitate discussion and collaboration amongst departmental faculty and outside speakers around the complexity of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and related conditions to foster to exchange of ideas and new research findings and to stimulate future research and collaborations.
