Give hope. Build health.
Give in Eileen’s name so that others will live.
The Dr. Eileen Wolf Feldman Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fund will provide resources for research and patient education activities designed to advance the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. The Feldman Family created this fund in memory of Eileen Wolf Feldman to relieve the suffering of future patients and make advancements in this field so that others will live. The Feldman Family is grateful to Dr. Christopher Richards, all the members of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis team including Lindsay Bringhurst RN, Taylor Stander PA and all the many nurses, physical therapists, pulmonologists cardiologists, and many other specialists for their compassionate care of Eileen.
Bronchiectasis, the disease that Eileen faced with courage, determination and resilience for many years, is a chronic condition where the lung’s bronchi become permanently damaged and widened. It affects 350,000 to 500,000 adults in the United States and is more common in women than in men. There are many causes of bronchiectasis, but for about 40% of cases the cause is unknown. This is called “idiopathic bronchiectasis.” Although there is no cure for bronchiectasis, getting the correct treatment as early as possible can help you have the best possible quality of life.
To honor Eileen’s memory, donations may be made online here or by check made payable to “Mass General Hospital – Eileen Wolf Feldman, MD Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fund” that can be mailed to:
