With the launch of the Stroke Service in the 1950s, Mass General pioneered the comprehensive care of patients with complex cerebrovascular disease, from prevention to intervention and recovery. Through an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach, physicians work hand-in-hand with scientists to develop thoughtful, evidence-driven, patient-centered care.
Charitable supports plays a critical role in our ability to test life-saving drugs and build out the world-renowned Mass General TeleStroke Network, which extends our services to more than 30 emergency departments. Our goal is to reduce both the incidence and burden of stroke.
