Dr. Kathryn J. Swoboda is the Katherine B. Sims M.D. Endowed Chair in Neurogenetics and the Director of the Neurogenetics Program at Massachusetts General Hospital. Over the last 18 years, Dr. Swoboda has led innovative research in gene discovery for undiagnosed neurologic disorders, phenotype/genotype correlations in inherited neurological disorders translational research in neurodegeneration and characterization of novel pediatric-onset movement and neuromuscular disorders.
Philanthropic support enables Dr. Swoboda and her team to continue advancing the understanding of rare inherited neurodegenerative, dystonia and neuromuscular disorders and improving the care of patients.
