Join sALSa For a Cure on Saturday, October 17 as we virtually walk together to raise funds for ALS research!

Kicking off with a Zoom Opening Ceremony at 11am. Register to virtually walk with us.

Teams/Individuals who raise $250+ will be entered into our fabulous raffle! Winners will be announced during our opening ceremony.

All funds raised will go directly to the sALSa For a Cure campaign, benefiting research at the Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at Massachusetts General Hospital. Donations of any size are encouraged! Last year we raised close to $20K – ready to beat it this year?!

Care During COVID-19

Thanks to the support and generosity of sALSa for a Cure and others, the Healey Center was able to institute important changes to strengthen the trial long-term and ensure people with ALS can safely be part of this initiative during this challenging time. These changes include virtual visits and home safety and outcome measures. The Healey Center worked tirelessly to launch the Platform Trial with the first three experimental treatments, with plans to add a fourth treatment in November 2020.

Merit Cudkowicz, MD, Chief of Neurology at Mass General and Director of the Sean M. Healy and AMG Center for ALS at Mass General shares, “the Healey Center’s ability to provide safe and high quality care for patients during this time has far exceeded our expectations and allowed us to expand our care model beyond the clinic and into the homes of individual patients. We are enormously encouraged by the ways our clinicians can reach people at home, and we will continue to adapt as the COVID-19 outbreak evolves; since it is possible that in the future we will rely more heavily than ever on virtual visits to deliver care.”

This initiative is a registered Mass General Community Fundraiser. Mass General does not enter into direct sponsorship of this effort, provide any financial support, or assume any liability for its conduct. If you have any questions, please contact the Mass General Community Fundraising Team.
