Please join us on Thursday, October 26, 2017 for the ESSCO-MGH Cards for a Cure 22nd Annual Benefit, a fabulous casino night and live auction. This year’s event will honor Larry Lebatique of Bass River Tennis.
Funds raised at the gala will support the ESSCO-MGH/Slater Family Endowed Chair in Surgical Oncology at the Mass General Cancer Center. Kenneth Tanabe, MD, chief of Surgical Oncology at Mass General, is intended to be the first incumbent of the chair. Over more than a decade of working together, the ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund has developed a deep appreciation for Dr. Tanabe’s multifaceted leadership and innovative approach to cancer research.
Unique to our fund, every penny of your donation will go directly to MGH. We do not take a percentage of your contribution for our fundraising, social networking or administrative efforts.
The ESSCO-MGH Breast Cancer Research Fund was established in December 1994 by Albert Cohen, then CEO of Electronic Space Systems Corporation (ESSCO). At that time, Al’s 33-year-old-daughter, Lynn, had been diagnosed with breast cancer and treated at Mass General. Al established the fund to support breast cancer research efforts at MGH and speed progress toward a cure. Please click here to donate or contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
