On Saturday, October 14th, Voices of Hope (VOH), will present its 9th annual gala performance at North Shore Music Theatre in Beverly. The local non-profit, which is dedicated to raising funds for cancer research through musical performance, will donate proceeds from the show to support cutting edge work being conducted at the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapies at the Mass General Cancer Center.
Broadway & Beyond highlights the amazing vocal range and spectacular dance moves of the multi-talented VOH cast. The evening will blend traditional favorites from Anything Goes, Damn Yankees, and Hello Dolly with breakout contemporary numbers from Dear Evan Hansen, Hamilton, and Something Rotten. This performance is guaranteed to lift the collective spirits of the audience and instill one and all with hope for a future where cancer is a curable disease.
From the performers, to the choreographers, musicians, back-stage tech, and directors, this production represents more than 100 dedicated members of VOH. Personally impacted by cancer or dedicated to finding a cure, these volunteers collectively donate thousands of hours to rehearsal and planning in the months leading to this single night. Don’t miss this celebration of the new possibilities born by significant advances being achieved through cancer research.
Broadway & Beyond is made possible through the generous support of our sponsors: Walmart, Conquer Cancer Coalition, Fuddruckers, By the Sea Sotheby’s International Realty, and media partners: 89.7 WGBH, 90.9 WBUR, and Clear Channel Outdoor.
The VOH gala will begin with a cocktail reception and silent auction at 7 pm in the theatre lobby, followed by the performance of “Broadway & Beyond” at 8 pm. Tickets for the event are: $40, $50, and $75 (includes VIP reception) and can be purchased by contacting the Theatre Box Office by phone at 978-232-7200, online at www.nsmt.org , or in person at 62 Dunham Road in Beverly, MA.
