Join physicians, friends and leaders of Massachusetts General Hospital on Monday, August 12, at Belmont Country Club for the 10th annual Mass General Transplant Golf Classic. This is an exciting way to support Mass General’s commitment to patient care and medical research.
In the rapidly evolving field of organ transplantation, Mass General is positioned like no other institution to combine the best possible patient care with advances in scientific knowledge. Teams of Mass General surgeons, clinical specialists, and laboratory scientists create the optimal environment for the rapid application of laboratory findings to the improvement of clinical practice. Mass General is also unique as the only transplant center in New England that performs all types of organ transplants for adults, as well as transplants for children. The Transplant Golf Classic has raised more than $1.5 million since 2010 for this crucial work.
We are driven by a steadfast commitment to help our patients before, during, and after surgery. This includes developing treatments to reduce or eliminate the need for immunosuppression drugs, which carry so many risks to patients. The Mass General Transplant team is also working on xenotransplantation and is optimistic that organs or tissues from gene-edited pigs could be in use in the next several years, ending organ shortages.
Your sponsorship of this tournament helps us change the lives of transplant recipients. There is much to do in transplant research and patient care, and we are grateful for your partnership.
