Join MGH on Monday, August 14 at TPC Boston for the eighth annual Mass General Transplant Golf Classic, which raises crucial funding for transplant surgeries and therapies. This year’s event will benefit pediatric transplant research at MGH, and we hope you will support this important cause.
Since its inception in 2010, this tournament has raised over $1,000,000. These funds have been used to support research at MGH to allow transplants without dependence on toxic, lifelong anti-rejection medications.
Transplant surgeons and researchers, under the guidance of James Markmann, MD, PhD, and Joren Madsen, MD, Dphil, have developed approaches to induce immune tolerance, a state where the recipient does not recognize the transplant as a foreign object. The progress this team has made would not have been possible without the success of this tournament and the generous philanthropic support it brings in.
